Referat and Exam of Daria Koshelenko

New postby dkoshele_MEPhI on Thu 10 Nov 2016 14:02

Good day.
I would like to propose my own theme for the referat:"Little Higgs model as an alternative to SUSY" if it's possible.

Sincerely,
Daria K.

Dear Daria,
Thank you for the choice of an original topic.
Usually, I highly estimate originality of a chosen topic.
However, I cannot put you more than 3 as intermediate mark, if you don't put a first draft of your referat in reply to your post until tomorrow evening.
with the best regards

Good day, Maxim Yurievich!
Sorry for a big delay in preparing of the first draft.
I have some questions about the main structure of my referat (they marked as comment in referat's text). Also I'm going to describe Little Higgs formation's mechanism in case of SU(3).
Thank you for your comments!
Sincerely,
Daria Koshelenko.

Dear Daria,
I highly appreciated your original topic of referat, but it should be related to our main aim - demonstration of relationship between new physics and its cosmological effects. Therefore it is cosmology of little Higgs model that should be outlined.
You should work on academic style. My comments are i the attached file. Missprints and stylistic errors are marked yellow.
For our further work it would helpful to know, whether you are going to attend my course in the second semester.
It would be in English (with referat and exam in English) in the form of an Open Online Course.
Pease ask other students to let me know in their posts about their intention as concerns the second semester
With the best regards
M.Yu.Khlopov

Thank you for your comments.
I'll try to connect this new physics with it's cosmological effects in 3-rd part.
I'm going to listen your course but I'm not sure I will pass an exam. Is it necessary to say right now or I can do it a little bit later?
I've said your request to other students.

Sincerely,
Daria.

Dear Daria,
Of course, you can tell it later, but this information would be helpful for me, since I'd like to know whether
we have time or not to work on referat in the second semester, when its English version should be presented
to be admitted to exam

Dear Maxim Yurievich,
here is my second referat's version. I've tried to rewrite introduction and some other parts in more "academic" style and add LH mechanism "in bare outlines".
It's still just a draft cause I have very many questions about cosmological effect of the BSM theory I have incaution to choose. I guessed that my LH could be a rather good dark matter candidate but have extremely no idea what can I do with it =(
I'm strongly waiting for your comments. BTW, I enjoyed your course so I'm going to choose the second part.

Sincerely,
Daria.

Dear Daria,
I marked yellow some misprints and stylistic errors.
Still, the most interesting is at least to stipulate possible dark matter candidates and their properties

Good night!
Here is my next version.
I strongly hope that I will have enough time before our exam to make one more iteration so I'll be happy to receive your comments.

Thank you!
Sincerely,
Daria.

Dear Daria,
My comments are in the attached file
You should be more specific in little Higgs prediction for dark matter
and Bibliography should be added
