Duncan Lorimer: Fast Radio Bursts

New postby Maxim Khlopov on Tue 30 Sep 2014 17:03

On 29.08.2014 Duncan Lorimer gave a VIA talk "Fast Radio Bursts3.
It' record is in VIA library
http://viavca.in2p3.fr/duncan_lorimer.html
The following discussion took place after the lecture:
Lin Lin: Are the FRBs covered by any X/gamma-ray monitor like swift/bat, GBM but not detected, or they are not covered at all?
D. Lorimer: they have so far not been seen by Swift etc yet. No Fermi detections either yet. I think part of the problem is the positional localisation and the other part is getting other instruments mobilized in time. Still a lot to do.
